Got Tile? I Do Now

His name is Javier, and I do believe he is the best tile layer I have ever seen. He worked fast and with perfection. It is a porcelain tile that resembles stone and the grout is not porous and will not stain. I think I am loving it. For all of you who have said prayers, lit candles, and crossed your fingers, I say thank you. There is now what seems like miles of tile in my house and carpet layers are here as I speak. I think I feel a shout comin' on!! Maybe by tomorrow I will have a picture of carpet. Carpet should be finished this weekend and then the contractor's team will return Monday to install new baseboards, replace vent covers, and touch-up any needed areas. If my feet weren't so tired, I think I would feel like dancing!

  1. FINALLY!!! Doesn't that just make you want to take your shoes off and let your feet caressingly glide across the floor? Just wait until the carpet is in. Then you can let it ooze between your toes. Mmmmmmmm Bare feet in the house once more at last. :)

I am soooo happy for you all.

  2. Jolene - YES!!! Bare feet in the new carpet. That is, CLEAN, bare feet. Tomorrow, they have to carpet my bedroom, Bryce's bedroom, and the landing at the top of the stairs. Then, the carpet is done. I am even loving the smell of it.

  10. Phyllis - Thanks for helping me make the right carpet and tile choices. It is looking good. You and Rick have been a blessing to us. Now if Countrywide would hurry up and send us the rest of our money, I would get another check to you! PRAY!!! I am so tired of fussing with them. On Thursday, a lady told Brian she would have an inspector call us within 48 hours. Today Brian called back and let them know the inspector has NOT called. This guy told him the lady did not put in a request for the inspector. Brian blew a fuse! If we don't hear from an inspector by tomorrow, Countrywide will face Brian's wrath - - - again! Heaven help!

Cheri - it will be nice to see you.
