Laughter - The Best Medicine

Let's see, where do I begin?! I guess I will heed Abraham Lincoln's quote. I may as well laugh because tears will not help! Friday, ServiceMaster declared the house was dry after nine days of 22 de-humidifiers and fans. They removed all the fans, and said we can move back in. NOT! We are still in hotel. I decided to first begin packing Blake's room. He has two bookcases that are about seven feet tall and as wide as a queen size bed. They were full of books and model cars. He also has a desk (that once belonged to my Grandmother) and it has seven drawers that were all full. Coloring books, markers, pens, crayons, school workbooks, audio stories, etc. I worked all Friday afternoon and into the evening. Saturday, I did more of the same. All told, I have packed 38 boxes just in Blake's room. These boxes are a conglomeration of books, toys, shoes, some clothes, blankets, stuffed toys, etc. It is absolutely ridiculous how much stuff this ten year old possesses. Of course, much of this was handed down from his big brother. When we woke this morning to get ready for church, my husband and I looked like really old people trying to hobble our way and get dressed. Carrying boxes up and down the stairs has definitely given us a good work-out. Tomorrow, I will begin packing my bedroom. LOL ROTF LOL I am trying to overdose with the best medicine. LOL (The snapshot is Bryn & Blake on Mother's Day.)

  3. Beka - 5:31 AM!!! Girl, having to get up that early is just not right! LOL This is something I have argued about with God. It should be "noon" and "night." LOL Thanks for dropping by.

  4. Mark - we are glad you and Debbie got to come by. We enjoyed visiting with you. (A breath of fresh air in the midst of all this...) You really do know what we are facing. Actually, I nearly cried Saturday and somehow I held it together. I am trying real hard not to let this get to me.

  5. I agree with you Sis Allard, it is not right, but when you have to get a teenager up and get him off to school it is a task with in it self. The Lord knows that if I don't wake him up he will sleep until noon or longer.

  6. Beka - LOL I totally understand that! I always had to get Bryce up, but when he started college I told him he had to be responsible and get himself up. Now I have to get the two younger ones up.

  11. Keep on Keepin' on! We had to do this one time when we had a fire and a lot of smoke damage. It is not fun. I know the Lord will give you strenghth though. Praying for you, REALLY!
