Some of the damage...

One of 22 blowers helping dry my house.
One of the large blowers.

This is the part of ceiling that fell on my computer.

Above is part of my kitchen ceiling.
Well, this is just a little bit of the damage, but I am sure this gives you a picture of just what we are facing. Believe it or not, there really was a ceiling there two days ago and there was carpet on those stairs, too.

  2. Karla - thanks for dropping by. Everything is a disaster here and we are staying in two rooms at Holiday Inn. The blowers should be removed Monday or Tuesday, and then we have to box everything that got moved onto our beds before we can return home. (Everything had to be removed from the bottom of our closets and about a 1/3 of the carpet was cut out going into each bedroom upstairs. Furniture was shoved next to the beds and everything else piled on them.) I'm not sure how long we will have to stay in the hotel, but hopefully we will get to stay at home some time next week. It is an ordeal just trying to get to our underwear and clothes!

Just think of it this way...after a storm there is a rainbow. Your sunshine is on its way!
