Carol - Sis. Sjostrand spoke on this passage at the ladies conference in Tulare this past year. It was an incredible message and there was a tremendous move of God. I have always loved this passage but it now burns within me.
That is a great passage. Jeremy's Dad preached one of his end of the year messages using that as his text. He talked about its history and how the patriarchs (older folks) would bless the children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren (all us younguns). He emphasized the importance of our elders and how they should be involved in imparting blessing. It was so neat when he had all the elders come sit in chairs at the front. He wasn't even done and people just began lining up in front of them to have them lay their hands on us to bless us. God moved so incredibly on us... and on them too.
I have heard this passage numerous times in the past few months (outside of that sermon). Thank you for your blessing, I receive it. I pray that on you also.
Von de Leigh - thanks for sharing the story about Jeremy's dad's message. I could feel the beauty of that service. Times such as those build such great memories and keep the service forever special to us.
Born in 1960, you can say she's a boomer. She's married to the love of her life, Brian, who is also her pastor, mom to three gorgeous kids, and wears many different "hats." Her personal passion is singing and she recorded her first CD which was released February 2007. You can hear clips at her website, www.janaallard.com.
