freeWAY Debut CD Released

The debut CD of freeWAY was released this past Tuesday. We are all quite pleased with the final results. The quartet has seven events/services booked for next month. Unfortunately, their website is not ready. The domain has been secured, but the design is not complete. Hopefully, they will have the site up and running soon where you will be able to hear clips and place orders. Most of the CD is original material and features blues, jazz, big ballads, and traditional quartet music. The following link, Singsation Sunday, is to the website of Apostolic Tabernacle in Merced, California, archived media. This was a concert in September 2007. Once the video begins, you can forward about 35 minutes to see and hear freeWAY sing three songs. After this video was made, Ken Fitzpatrick started vocal coaching the boys and they are actually better than what you see and hear on this video. In one song on their CD, they span four octaves! I am so proud of these boys not only for their vocal abilities, but also for their strong love of God and their desire to minister.

  1. Can't wait to get a copy! I think it is great to have our young people "study to show themselves approved" in all ares of ministry! May God continue to bless their ministry!

  2. Oh My! Is it really 1O:22am? I clicked on over an hour and a half ago and was listening to the Singsation Sunday and got so wrapped up in it I lost track of time. Nothing like such powerful annointed singing. Enjoyed the Choir, Hands of Praise, Way Quartet (freeWAY), Sis Grandquist (spelling), and You Sis. Allard, and all the rest. What a way to start my day. I have truly been blessed! :)

  4. Hi Jana, I listened to quite a bit of the service. I know why support these young men. But I was convinced as you sang, "I need Your love." Thanks for sharing this link to a great song service. Love, Helen

  5. Kevin - we have so many great young people in our churches. The church of tomorrow will be just fine.

Jolene - the entire concert in Merced was great. It was fun to be part.

Jennifer - YC was over-the-top! Wish you could have been there.

Helen - I will take your comment as a compliment. When I sing, I want to convince the audience of the message of the song. If I can't sing with conviction and deep feeling, I don't want to sing. My heart's desire is to sing til I die (and I hope that is a long time), but I am always excited when young people willingly give their talents to God. That is why I am so proud of Bryce's quartet.

  7. Oh, and I didn't mean to compare you with the quartet. You complemented each other. They're kids, and you are built just like me. LOL Love, Helen

  14. Hi Jana, I am not a night owl by birth, but my husband and two sons are. My husband works until dawn now on the program he and his partner are writing. So I stay up late, so as not to be a person living in the same house in a different time zone. LOL

  17. Helen - LOL your house sounds like mine. Brian is not a night owl, but he stays up with me. LOL

Jennifer - try again. I know several others have been able to access it. If it still doesn't work, you can go to upcmerced.com and look up their archived media. It is the "Sunday Singsation" in September.

Abigail - yes, freeWAY is singing Thursday night at the music conference in Stockton and at an open air concert Friday afternoon. Hope to see you there!
