Request for PK Questions

This post requires participation. I have given consideration to something and wonder if anyone would be willing to submit questions about, for, or concerning PK's. It could be something you want to know, wonder "why," or you think a PK might want to ask. I will try to answer (based on my experience) these questions individually over a period of time. Questions can be left in a comment which will first come to my e-mail. If you don't want the question posted, please say so and feel free to leave the question anonymously.

  1. Jana, what a great and timely idea. Just think by the time Sheldon is older, you'll have published a book and then he will have some great advice to live by.

Hey, when you are done with this series, I think you need to start one for "new" pastor's wives and talk about your experiences. I have a feeling you are going to be quite busy blogging. After all, you have a wealth of experience that you are able to share. Your blog is AMAZING!!!!

  2. Debbie - I think you need to write a book for the new pastor's wife. You are living it and totally getting it. Listen, I will get a pin and pop my head before I walk out the door. Only a true friend will exaggerate as much as you about me. I know I'm not all that and a bag of chips, too. LOL Love you, Debbie. You are such a great friend. I value your friendship.

  3. Hey Jana here is a question for you. How can a PK "toe the line" in what the church teaches and keep friendship with the other youth that may not "toe the line"?

Then the obvious next question would be, how can the PK go a little further and positively influence the ones that don't "toe the line"?

  4. Kevin - that is an excellent question. I will add it to my list.

  5. There was once a PK (whose mother was also a PK) who, at age 12, announced one morning in Sunday School that he didn't believe in the Virgin Birth. That young PK was Martin Luther King Jr.

  6. Helen - I love this story. PK's have many rough spots, but have been known to rebel. I would have loved to see the look on the Sunday School teacher's face. LOL

  7. Jana, King didn't come around either. Later he ministered side by side at Ebenezer with more conservative father, who supported him (and helped form the Progressive National Baptist Convention to support the younger King's civil rights efforts, which weren't about theology at all).
