To all of you who heard or read about Brian's mishap, thank you for your calls, thoughts and prayers. To those of you who may not know - Thusday evening, Brian decided to play baseball with some of the men in our church. He was running from 3rd base to home plate when he tripped and fell, fracturing the radius and ulner. Friday, he had surgery and now has two metal plates and 12 screws in his left forearm. (I posted a snapshot of the X-Ray that shows the plates and screws.) Guess that makes for alot of fun when going through airport security. :) He is now hoping for a speedy recovery. Next Sunday, we are supposed to leave for family camp and Brian always drives the motorhome. I think, I will have to see if Bryce can drive it this year. One thing for sure, it should be much cooler at camp which makes a cast much more bearable. I love all of you and feel so happy to be part of the wonderful family of God.

Oh, my goodness, I'm so sorry about Brian's accident. But then he can't be old or he wouldn't be playing ball games.
ReplyDeleteSee you in a few days.
(There's guy here in the park who broke his arm. His cast is pink! Hope Brian's is too. I'll tease him!)
Oh! Ouch! I'm so very sorry about Brian's mishap. I remember a few years ago, our dear Pastor was up in the mountains flying down a snow-covered hill in an innertube when he wiped out and hurt his arm. He ended up in the ER and was on so much pain meds that he proposed to the nurse! LOL Needless to say, he doesn't go inner-tubing in the snow anymore. Hope and pray Brian has a quick recovery. Love, Karen
ReplyDeleteSis. Buxton - regardless of color, I am sure Brian will try to camoflauge that cast as much as possible.
ReplyDeleteKaren - the story about your pastor is funny. It is amazing how drugs affect people so differently. Thanks for your prayers and for dropping by.
