Did anyone pull a prank on you yesterday in the name of April Fool's Day? Tyler called wanting to know if freeWAY's large shipment of CD's had arrived. He is worried about having them in time for the To The Chief Musician Music Conference where freeWAY will sing next week. I couldn't resist! I told him Rick had called to inform us the CD's were shipped but the UPS truck that carried them had crashed and burned. I added Daywind's insurance would replace the burned CD's but it would take two weeks to get them. The silence on the other end of the phone was huge! I stifled my giggles when he said, "Serious?" I replied, "I am as serious as April Fool's Day." Then, a fit of giggles erupted to the dismay of Tyler who was silently seething. Gotcha, Tyler! LOL
My favorite April Fool's story was from my Aunt Veneta. She was a fabulous baker and would take a home-baked good to work everyday. One April Fool's Day, she took a platter of chocolate covered Styrofoam peanuts. I can only imagine the expressions when teeth sunk into Styrofoam. Gotta love it!

Too good! My son, Cameron, and his girlfriend, Lindsey Bernard, acted like they broke up. They posted on their MySpace's all this sad stuff! People were consoling them and being so nice!!! LOL! The text messages were coming in one after another! APRIL FOOLS!
ReplyDeleteGene - that is a great story!!! Thanks for sharing the laugh!
ReplyDeleteI needed lots of prayer as I didn't think I could just go on in life, and couldn't do it anymore! There was tragedy in SoniaLand!! My hair hurt so bad it was just throbbing, and my eyelashes hurt to no end! So I called some good friends and got them going...one started to cry "with" me as I cried I couldn't take it anymore! it was GREAT!
ReplyDeleteSonia - you crack me up!!! I can hear you doing it! Thanks for the laugh.
ReplyDeleteOooh! That would be funny to watch someone bite into chocolate covered styrofoam. Definitely a Kodak moment!
ReplyDeleteLOL How funny! Yes, I was actually in New York visiting my family on April fools day, and I got two of my best friends to believe that I felt like it was God's will for me to stay there and that I wasn't coming back to California! lol! It was funny! =)
ReplyDeleteCarol - I have often wished there would have been a camera on those faces. I'm sure it would be a great laugh!
ReplyDeleteJen - that was a good one, too! LOL
Sorry I am so late in responding to this one... but YES! Us too! We woke up with an outhouse in our front yard!! We live in a new subdivision and there is still construction... well, one of the outhouses near the construction site was in front yard! In the strangest way, we felt loved! Within an hour of waking up someone (our associate pastor) came to put it back where it belonged. Funny how he knew right where that was!!
ReplyDeletePS The outhouse was empty. :)
ReplyDeleteRochell - that is funny! Thanks for sharing. I love to laugh.
