On one hand, I see how satisfying it is to do something others said i couldn't do. On the other hand, why should my actions be the result of a dare, rather than a solemn conviction that what I do is right?
Helen - I don't think this quote would include convictions. I believe our convictions stand alone from any dare. If a conviction is true, you will pursue it regardless of any obstacle. Doing something that someone told me I could not do, would usually fall into a category where someone stereotyped me and I proved them wrong. Does that make sense? I'm not sure if I am explaining myself correctly.
