Are there not... Two points in the adventure of the diver: One -- when a beggar, he prepares to plunge? Two -- when a prince, he rises with his pearl? I plunge!- Robert Browning.
WOW! I love this quote! If one desires pearls, he must first be willing to take the risk and plunge into the deep. We come to God as absolute nothing, begging for His Spirit and we rise to walk in newness of life, a prince/princess of the King.
P.S. The snapshot is part of the royal court taken at our 2006 Junior Royal Pageant.
Sis Jana,
ReplyDeleteI have been going to you web site ever since you and your husband have been coming to our church (UPCOC).I found your web site thrue Pastor Pryor's blogg. I just want to let you know I love your blogg's and we my son Donald you know the one who is always talking to you husband about music have appreciate the teaching. I think what I like the best is that you keep it real. Since I was a back slider for over 20 years and then coming to our church about a year ago (first time at a UPC church)I need to hear the word of GOD that is down to earth and I can relate to. One more thing my son just bought a Messgage Bible and now he takes it to school everyday. He loves it, now it is time for mom to get one. At least he is kind enough to let me borrow it once in a while.
Thank you for your time and teaching.
Sis Rebecca
Rebecca - I am so happy you dropped by and left your comments. I didn't know you had been away from God for so long, but it is such a wonderful thing to know you are in church and ENJOYING your relationship with God. I have several versions of the Bible, but The Message Bible has been particularly enjoyable for me. It just seems like God's Word becomes so much more intimate and personal. I am so glad the Pryor's are your pastors. They are such wonderful people and my husband and I consider them to be dearest friends. God has certainly placed you with the right people. I'll see you on Wednesday! Much blessings to you!
