WAY Choir in Eureka

During our tour, we visited the city of Eureka, California. We took a few minutes to visit a Victorian home. The choir is pictured on the steps of the Ingomar Club which is the former home of pioneer lumberman William Carson. The home was built in 1885 and is now a private club. I included a closer shot so you can see the detail in the architecture. The pink Victorian home was directly across the street. Eureka is a very unique town with very old homes and buildings. For a few brief moments, we felt as if we had stepped back in time. I could almost hear the clip-clop of a horse and buggy. The ocean was within view of this house and the cool, breezy air was refreshing. Wish I could have brought the weather back to the San Joaquin Valley of California. :)

  1. Sis. Allard, In looking at the group picture, my wife and I are taken by the beauty of the girl with the long brown hair, standing toward the back, on the left side, in front of the young man with the light colored Polo shirt. Can you tell us her name? Stephen Watts

  2. Stephen - that would be Her Royal Majesty Princess of Visalia Chloe Watts. By the way, that was a really cute snapshot of her. My favorite moment on tour with Princess Chloe was in Stockton when the choir was supposed to sing in Spanish. I totally cracked up because the Princess is VERY English. It seemed as though some were singing, "Blah, blah, blah-blah, blah, blah-blah, blah-blah su nombre, blah, blah, blah-blah, Jesus..." Ask the princess if she noticed me laughing at her during that moment. LOL

  3. Hi Jana, It sounds like you had a great group of young people and a wonderful time. That pink house reminds me of the Colonal Ludlow House in W-S that has been converted into a Bed and Breakfast. Bill and I stayed there for our anniversary one year. There's no tower on the Ludlow House but see if you think they look similar. http://www.bbinn.com/ Click on the picture for other pictures.
