Satan, You're A Liar

If there is one thing upon this earth that mankind love and admire better than another, it is a brave man, -- it is the man who dares to look the devil in the face and tell him he is a devil.- -- James A. Garfield

When I read this quote, I immediately had a smile as I envisioned people yelling at the devil. Several years ago I came across a song that I have sung to the devil. The chorus goes like this, "Satan, you're a liar. You should know by now I know, you're a liar. There's one thing you can't deny, you're the father of every lie. You're a liar." My favorite verse is, "I know you're everything in this world except my friend. Still you have the courage, the nerve to come around again, you tell me I'm not born again, heaven's not a reality, that Jesus Christ is not the son of God, Satan, listen good to me.......you're a liar!" Don't be afraid to speak to the devil. Let him know he is a devil and not welcome to spread his smack talk to you. The only thing the devil and I agree on is this - I hate the devil and he hates me.

P.S. Now this made me think of the country song, "I Hate Her." Did I mention, I hate the devil?

  1. I've been telling the devil he's a liar a lot lately! I ran into a song a little while back that's kind of in the devils face, it's called "I Want it All Back" I posted a video of Sis. Lisa Davis doing it in sign language on my blog it's very awesome! Would you mind doing me a huge favor? I posted a prayer request on my blog and would be very greatful if you would check it out and pray with me about this. Love you bunches Sis Allard!!!

  2. Sis. Allard, a liar he most definitely is. You know, it seems that after I posted my blog about fear that all of this came about. Strange is it not? Well, the spirit of fear does not belong in my life as a Christian. When the fear of this situation tries to grip my heart, I rebuke it in Jesus name and hold fast to my faith in God. I will trust in the Lord at all times. Satan you're a liar!!! God has it all under control.

The only fear that belongs in my life is the fear of the Lord and in Psalms 86:11 reads; "...I will worship in joyful fear." Message Bible In your face satan YOU'RE A LIAR!!!

  4. When I first got in church 28 years ago, we used to sing this song in church called "Satan your Kindgom's Coming Down". Ever hear of it? I would come unglued whenever it was song and would give old slewfoot a good stompin. Romans 16 says that the God of peace shall bruise Satan under "our" feet shortly. I'm just practicing down here for the big stomp to come!

  6. Yvonne - just keep reminding him you know he's a liar.

Jolene - the devil should give up on you already! For crying out loud! We know this - not only is he a liar, but he is a sore loser, too.

Helen - you are right. This is God's world and I love it. The entire universe belongs to Him including the air. When the devil is in the air, it is a bad air day. LOL (We have so many "bad air" days here in the San Joaquin valley.) However, scripture also tells us that the devil is like a roaming lion seeking whom he may destroy. When he comes to attack me, my weapon is the name of Jesus and reminding the devil, "Greater is He that is in me, than He that is in the world."

  7. Karen - the song you mentioned brought back so many memories to my mind! There was also the song, "You better look out, satan, look out, you better look out, satan, look out, for I come to you in the name of the Lord so look out, satan look out." Actually, I don't like singing songs to him, because I feel so much better when I sing unto the Lord, but I guess it is okay to tell the devil off every now and then.

Shirley - Another song - "I hate the devil, he hates me, me and the devil just can't agree..."
    I love you, too.
