1,000 Tears

prayer before the concert in TulareI "borrowed" this picture from Sheramy's blog, a WAY Choir member. (You can get to her blog from the WAY Choir blog site.) When I saw this picture, I felt like crying, at the same time felt pride, and knew this picture was worth a 1,000 words or more like a 1,000 tears. Because I see Bryce's devotion to God on a daily basis and realize the sincerity of his walk with God, I should expect to see such a picture. I guess it just caught me off-guard and I had an overwhelming emotional moment. My heart is full of pride everytime I hear Bryce sing but knowing He loves to commune with God means more to me than any song he sings. My prayer is, "God keep Bryce in Your perfect will, let his heart always be tender towards You, and keep him safe in Your care."

  1. This is the reason we dedicate our babies to God - to serve Him! It does warm our mother's heart when we realize THEY have made the choice to do so. I can relate to the '1,000 tears'. I like you love it when they are involved in singing, playing, or etc but to see them respond to the Lord in prayer and worship in such a heartfelt way means even more.

  2. What a precious sight to behold. This is why Bryce is so in tune with God and does such an outstanding job in leading praise service. You have a right to be proud.

I will bind together with you in prayer that God ALWAYS keeps him in His perfect will and that his heart ALWAYS be tender towards God, and He keeps him safe in His care. For I know that the devil is like a roaring lion out to seek and devour whom ever he can.

  3. Tracie - I knew you would understand exactly how I felt even though my words failed me.

Jolene - some people judge Bryce by his sense of style and he has faced much criticism from so-called Christians (not from our church). If only those people could see Bryce during services, they would quickly realize how much he loves God. The trash talkers are the ones running the halls at conventions and have never seen the way Bryce prays in every altar service and worships during services. Bryce is a REAL Christian and I am so proud of him. As you know, he is sometimes used to speak prophetically and it never ceases to amaze me. To hear prophetic words come from my "baby" is overwhelming. My spirit always submits to the words he speaks under the anointing and that is a weird feeling because he has grown up always submitting to mine and his daddy's words. LOL Jolene, you will never know how much I appreciate your support and love towards Bryce as the PK of your church.

  4. I don't know Bryce that well but that is a beautiful picture of his communion with God.

About the people who gossip, "Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people."

  6. Forget the thousand words and remember the thousand tears. Those with the tears will go a lot further in Christ and their walk with God!

  7. I love those moments when we can see the godly character that we have tried to instill in our children take root. I know we pray, teach and do our best to be an example to them, but it is up to them how much they will yield to God and allow His truths to become a part of their spirit. But oh, to see when that really happens. Oh what joy!

3Jo 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

I know I am taking this out of context, but it does express, as a mother how I feel about my children. Thanks for sharing your mom moment. :-)

  8. VDL - hey that sounds like a Starbucks drink. LOL I have used that quote from Eleanor Roosevelt many times. It is so true.

Ronda - I knew you would relate to this, too. Our kids have had their times of being attacked but God has always known the sincerity of our kids devotion to Him.

Kevin - there is nothing like the feeling of happy tears.

Carol - that scripture does explain exactly how I feel. I, like you, am so grateful.
