Best Medicine?

Can you hear me singing the jingle, "I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toys R Us kid...." (smile, and give your face a rest) It would be a really boring world if we couldn't laugh. Scripture says laughter is like a medicine that helps us. Do you laugh frequently? Does it make you feel better?

  1. Yes, I love to laugh, and it always makes me feel better. God knew what He was talking about when He said a merry heart doeth good like a medicine. I'd rather take that kind of medicine than swallow a pill or get a shot any day!! :-)

  2. Our house is always full of laughter and it is the best way to live - even if we are just laughing at ourselves!

  4. Carol - I agree with you. I hate pills and shots! A good laugh is so much better.

Gene - Laughing is fun, but it takes a great character to be able to laugh at one's self. Our house gets pretty crazy sometimes, but it sure is fun.

Anonymous or JM - LOL LOL ROTF LOL LOL

  5. Do you remember getting with your girl-friends as kids and saying, "let's make ourselves laugh"? And oh my, we would just look at each other and start laughing. It may have been "put on" when we first started but it soon turned into real gales of laughter. Maybe we as adults should try that again sometime and just "make" ourselves laugh. I guarantee you we'd feel better when we got through. ROTF

  6. Ronda - I do remember such silliness. Nothing makes me feel better than a good laugh. There really is something about laughter that helps our mind, body, and soul. Isn't it amazing to think God put that in us?!?!?

  7. Sister A, we just got our classrooms at the church cleaned and ready for school, we start on 08/27, and forthe last few weeks, i have been going and helping Sister Shelley Ward, and we went to dinner the other night, and we sat down and started to laugh, we snorted, and coughed, and laughed so hard that she could not even order that she wanted Hot tea, and water, finally the waiter started to laugh with us, finally Shelly said okay stop, we got it under control, for a moment, before she asked "What are we laughing at?" and I told her, "I don't know" and we started laughing again, Well, I am sure that everyone in Cracker Barrel, thought we were crazy, but after all the crazyness of life, and the stress that she has been in to get her class ready for 1st and 2nd grade, it was a great change. Laughter is great, Love you muchley, miss you too, ♥ Cher

  8. Cheri - those times are the best. Sometimes Karry and I laugh like that. We get so tickled at the dumbest things. By the way, you just had to mention Cracker Barrel. That is one of my favorite places to eat and California doesn't have any. I love their fried okra, cornbread & milk. Yummy!

  10. I don't know how we would survive if we couldn't laugh. When our car broke down on our way to Oklahoma campmeeting we laughed and the kids got out and played in the rain. Fun! Then on our way back when the car wasn't fixed, I cried! Not fun. So when we picked up the car from Flagstaff and I had a blow out all I could do was laugh and my sis-n-law and myself made up hilarious songs as we sat on the side of the highway in the Mojave desert for 3 hours w/ temp over 100 degrees. We laughed so hard I think the AAA guy thought we lost it but if he only knew!! It was great! Moral of my story, Id much rather laugh.
