Thank You, Jolene

In the position of pastor's wife, there is nothing quite as nice as having church members who love my children. Fellow blogger, Jolene, is such a person. She always treats my children kindly and compliments their every spiritual endeavor. Her most recent posts brags on my son and another young lady in the church. This is the kind of encouragement young people need. Jolene, thanks for loving my kids. You will never know how much it means to me.

  1. The greatest gift to any pastor's wife is just to love her children. It doesn't mean make exceptions for them but just unconditionally love them. All too often as minister's and wives we notice the good and growth in the saint's children. Our children are wanting to be noticed by someone other than their parents, too. Thanks, Jolene! I know you have blessed not only the Allard children but Sis. Allard.

  2. I agree with Tracie's Smith's comment, "just love her children ... just unconditionally love her children." Insecure people will always have a difficult time complimenting the pastor's kids, but I am too thankful for those who take take time to encourage pastor's kids!

  3. I know that you're writing from a Pastor's wife perspective, but it's true from a Pastor's as well. :-)

  5. Sis. Allard, Thank YOU!! It is not hard to love your children. They have such sweet spirits and they treat me with such respect. I was sitting here remembering about 2 years or so ago and it was raining so hard. Blake took it upon himself to get his umbrella and walk me to my car so that I would not get soaked. You talk about a gentleman at such a young age. I was very touched at his consideration for me. There have been numerous times that both Bryce and Blake have been at the front door of the church and when ladies have approached the doors, they step forward and open the doors for them. It doesn't matter what age we are, all are treated with respect. Then there is Bryn, I mean, check out that angelic smile. Who can resist that girl? Gotta be blind not to fall in love with her.
