Isn't that the truth. We have a tendency to load ourselves with everything that is far removed from what the Lord intended for us, which always loads us down. Good quote for thought.
Jana, great quote. Things will come that you can carry if you choose, but the key is in the release. The important thing is to discern what to hold and what to release...if I was gonna write a country song I would probable say "You've got to know when to hold them, know when to fold them..." LOL
Sis Allard, This Quote immediatlely brought this scripture to my mind; "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Hebrews 12:1
Mark - I agree. You have to be willing to "do without" some things.
Mervi - exactly!
Rochelle - glad you enjoyed it.
Jennifer - I always jot down quotes I read or hear that catches my attention. I put them in my blog drafts and when I don't have time to write, I pull one out. I was saving this one because I wanted to write something with it, but I just didn't feel too well this past week.
Carol, Jolene, and Helen - thanks for your additions to this comment. You have each given great comments and thoughts.

Her personal passion is singing and she recorded her first CD which was released February 2007. You can hear clips at her website, www.janaallard.com.

ReplyDeleteSomething to read, sit back and think. Then start a list of what I need to either lay down or asside.
ReplyDeleteThanks;
Mervi

ReplyDeleteAin't nothing that can make you feel lighter than laying aside the weight of bad attitudes. Great quote.
