No Secrets to Success

  1. Mr. Powell is very correct. An interesting question, define success?

  3. Very true, although I'd throw "opportunity" in there as well. 99% of success would be hard work though.

  4. Mervi - That is a great question. I would tend to believe success is when one accomplishes an intended purpose. Hopefully, the intended purpose is wholesome, without malice intent, and pursues social and moral excellence.

Karen - I thought it was a great quote.

Janell - I can understand your wish to include opportunity but, in reality, it is merely good luck. Some have succeeded because they struck a golden opportunity and hooray for them. I personally believe it would be more exhilarating to know "I did it on my own" without feeling it was a special opportunity, connection, or privilege that preceeded my success. I would feel more successful knowing I had accomplished my goal by proper preparation and hard work.
