Daddy/Daughter Date

Getting ready to leave

At the restaurant

The Kids Meal dessert

The corsage

The T-shirt and kisses from Daddy

Several months ago, Bryn informed her dad he needed to take her on a date. He promised her a date in the future and she has repeatedly reminded him about it. In the meantime, she received an award at school and was given a certificate for a free meal at Elephant Bar. Today, her dad finally came through on his promise saying he needed to advantage of her free meal certificate. He was dressed in jeans and a button up shirt and asked Bryn if he looked good enough for the date. She quickly looked up and said, "I think you need to go put on a suit." He changed into a suit, went to the florist to get her a wrist corsage of mini roses with Baby's Breath, and returned to pick her up. She was so excited. They went to Elephant Bar and then she requested to go to the mall. She came home with a new T-shirt saying, "My heart belongs to Daddy." When she selected the shirt, she looked up at her dad and said, "This one because my heart really does belong to you, Daddy." I'm sure his heart melted with those words.

  1. Oh My Goodness Bryn! Didn't we have so much fun leaving Mom and the boys to do their own thing? Let's go out on another date someday!

  4. Brian, my love - you made her day and memories that will last forever. Thanks for loving our kids so much. I still find it hard to believe that you and I could create such gorgeous children.

Bryn - I'm sure you had a good time. Daddy can be funny and fun, huh? You looked so pretty with your fancy dress, corsage, and glitter in your hair. You are my precious angel.

  6. Karla - Yep, I think Brian will portray that country song performed by Rodney Atkins that says, "Come on in boy, sit on down, And tell me 'bout yourself,
So you like my daughter, do you now, Yeah we think she's something else, She's her daddy's girl her mama's world, She deserves respect, that's what she'll get, ain't it son, Now y'all run along and have some fun, I'll see you when you get back, Bet I'll be up all night, Still cleaning this gun."

  8. Helen - You are so right and I am trying my best to cherish these moments. It seems like yesterday she was born and now she is a big six year old ready for second grade. It seems Brian and I are more relaxed with her and have really enjoyed her. I guess that is because we were old enough to be grandparents when she came along. LOL

  10. Carissa - anyone trying to get her will first have to get through the security system, and then will face daddy's shotgun plus two brothers backing him up. :)
